Garlic Pickle/Veluthulli Achar



Ingredients

  1. Garlic - 2 cup
  2. Chilly Powder -3 tbs
  3. Green Chilly -6 (Cut into small pieces)
  4. Fenugreek /Uluva - 1/4 tsp
  5. Mastard/Kaduku -1 tsp
  6. Ginger finely chopped - 1 tsp
  7. Vinger -3 tbsp
  8. Asafoetida-1/8 tsp
  9. Oil - 1/2 cup
  10. Salt to taste

Directions :

  • Fry the mustard seeds and fenugreek with out oil and crush it and keep aside
  • In a pan heat the oil and put some mustad seeds.
  • When they pop up add garlic and saute well for 7-8 minutes 
  • Add chopped green chilly and ginger and saute for 3-4 minutes
  • Add the Chilly powder , salt and fenugreek and mustard powder and mix well
  • Now remove it from fire and allow it to cool
  • Then add Vinegar and mix it nicely
  • Store it in the air tight container and keep in the refrigerator


Tip : If you want gravy add a little boiled water after mixing the chilly power
