Chicken Chilly Roast

Chicken Chilly Roast


Ingredients

  1. Boneless Chicken - 1 1/2 kg
  2. Onion nicely sliced -2
  3. Soya Sauce - 1 tbsp
  4. Coriander/ Cilantro leaves -1/4 cup
  5. Tomato sliced - 2 (Long pieces)
  6. Oil for frying

For marinating :

  1. Pepper Powder - 2 tsp
  2. Chilly Powder - 1 tsp
  3. Turmeric powder -1/4 tsp
  4. Salt to taste 

For Grinding :

  1. Red Pearl Onions – 10
  2. Garlic cloves    -10
  3. Ginger           – two 1 inch pieces
  4. Green Chilly   – 4 





( Note: already 2 tsp black pepper is in the marination mix ,so you can reduce the number of green chilly if you don't like more heat)



Directions :

  • Cut the chicken into small cubed pieces
  • Marinate the chicken with all the spices and keep it aside for 20 minutes
  • Crush together the ingredients (should not be a smooth paste) and keep aside
  • Heat a heavy bottom pan and fry the sliced onion till it become brown and remove it to plate
  • Fry the chicken and put on the tissue paper (While frying close the pan,so chicken become soft)

  • Heat another pan and add 2 tsp oil,when it is hot add the crushed ingredients
  • When the raw smell of garlic disappears add tomatoes and cook till it became smooth
  • Now add the fried Chicken and mix well
  • Close the pan and cook for 2 minutes
  • Now add the soya sauce and fried onions
  • Mix well and add 1/2 portion of the chopped cilantro
  • Check the salt and pepper and add salt and pepper according to your taste
  • Remove the Chicken to a serving plate and garnish with remaining cilantro.
  • Serve with Chapati,Rice ,Appam,Fried rice etc
