Chicken Chilly Roast
Ingredients
- Boneless Chicken - 1 1/2 kg
- Onion nicely sliced -2
- Soya Sauce - 1 tbsp
- Coriander/ Cilantro leaves -1/4 cup
- Tomato sliced - 2 (Long pieces)
- Oil for frying
For marinating :
- Pepper Powder - 2 tsp
- Chilly Powder - 1 tsp
- Turmeric powder -1/4 tsp
- Salt to taste
For Grinding :
- Red Pearl Onions – 10
- Garlic cloves -10
- Ginger – two 1 inch pieces
- Green Chilly – 4
( Note: already 2 tsp black pepper is in the marination mix ,so you can reduce the number of green chilly if you don't like more heat)
Directions :
- Cut the chicken into small cubed pieces
- Marinate the chicken with all the spices and keep it aside for 20 minutes
- Crush together the ingredients (should not be a smooth paste) and keep aside
- Heat a heavy bottom pan and fry the sliced onion till it become brown and remove it to plate
- Fry the chicken and put on the tissue paper (While frying close the pan,so chicken become soft)
- Heat another pan and add 2 tsp oil,when it is hot add the crushed ingredients
- When the raw smell of garlic disappears add tomatoes and cook till it became smooth
- Now add the fried Chicken and mix well
- Close the pan and cook for 2 minutes
- Now add the soya sauce and fried onions
- Mix well and add 1/2 portion of the chopped cilantro
- Check the salt and pepper and add salt and pepper according to your taste
- Remove the Chicken to a serving plate and garnish with remaining cilantro.
- Serve with Chapati,Rice ,Appam,Fried rice etc
