Coconut Chutney-Thenga Chammandhi

Coconut Chutney -Thenga Chammandhi



Ingredients

  1. Grated coconut  - 1 cup
  2. Red chilly - 6 / chilly powder - 1 tsp
  3. Small onion - 3 
  4. Curry Leaves - 3 petals
  5. Salt to taste

For Tempering :

  1. Small onion sliced- 2
  2. Red chilly broken into 2 pieces-2
  3. Mustard seeds - 1 tsp
  4. Curry Leaves - 10 petals
  5. Oil -1 tsp

Directions :

  • Fry the Red chilly , onion and curry Leaves (If you are using red chilly powder no need of frying)
  • Grind the coconut with fried ingredients
  • Heat a heavy bottom pan and add Mustard seeds
  • Once the mustard seeds pops up, add the broken red chilly,curry leaves and sliced small onion
  • When the onion turns light brown add the ground mixture
  • Add salt to taste 
  • Adjust the water for thickness
  • Serve with dosa,idly
Tips: Use Dry Red chilly for real taste.
