Garlic Pickle/Veluthulli Achar
Ingredients
- Garlic - 2 cup
- Chilly Powder -3 tbs
- Green Chilly -6 (Cut into small pieces)
- Fenugreek /Uluva - 1/4 tsp
- Mastard/Kaduku -1 tsp
- Ginger finely chopped - 1 tsp
- Vinger -3 tbsp
- Asafoetida-1/8 tsp
- Oil - 1/2 cup
- Salt to taste
Directions :
- Fry the mustard seeds and fenugreek with out oil and crush it and keep aside
- In a pan heat the oil and put some mustad seeds.
- When they pop up add garlic and saute well for 7-8 minutes
- Add chopped green chilly and ginger and saute for 3-4 minutes
- Add the Chilly powder , salt and fenugreek and mustard powder and mix well
- Now remove it from fire and allow it to cool
- Then add Vinegar and mix it nicely
- Store it in the air tight container and keep in the refrigerator
Tip : If you want gravy add a little boiled water after mixing the chilly power
