Beef Roast/Kerala Beef Roast
Ingredients
- Beef -1/2 Kg ,Cubed
- Pearl Onion -10
- Ginger -2 inch piece chopped
- Garlic - 6-7
- Green Chilly -3
- Curry Leaves - 2 springs
- Pepper Powder - 2 tsp
- Chilly Powder -1 tsp
- Coriander Powder -1 tsp
- Turmeric Powder - 1/2 tsp
- Salt to taste
For Gravy :
Directions :
- In a pressure cooker and add Beef,pearl onion, green chilly, ginger ,garlic and all the powders and 1/2 cup water
- Marinate for 10 minutes
- Close the pressure cooker with its lid and cook for 6 - 7 whistles at medium heat.
- In a heavy bottom pan ,add the oil
- When it is hot put the coconut,wait till it become light brown
- Add sliced onion,Curry Leaves and garlic and saute until the onion turns brown and oil starts appearing,then add ginger paste,cook for 2-3 minutes
- Add the cooked beef and mix well
- Add garam masala and pepper powder and mix well
- Cook for 5-7 minutes,till gravy becomes thick
- Serve with chappathi,porota, tapioca etc.
